Golden State guard Stephen Curry had to count on his younger brother, Duke guard Seth Curry, to get his name in college basketball records books.

When Seth sank a 3-pointer early in the second half Sunday in the Blue Devils? road win at Boston College, it bumped him and his brother into first place for most points by a pair of brothers in NCAA history.

The Currys have 4,493 combined points, surpassing Tyler Hansbrough and Ben Hansbrough, who totaled 4,485 career points.

The scoring totals for brothers is impressive. After the Currys and Hansbroughs, Larry and Eddie Bird are third with 4,405 points, Chuck and Wesley Person scored 4,377 and Greg and Josh Grant had 4,124.

?It?s a cool record to say we have,? Seth Curry told reporters Sunday. ?It?s something me and my brother can share, and something we will talk about down the road. We talked about it a week ago because we knew we were close. We were just laughing about it because we knew it was a funny type of record.?

Stephen Curry acknowledged his brother getting them over the hump on Twitter on Sunday.

Proud of @sdotcurry 4 the work he put in at Liberty and Duke. Happy to be half of the highest all time brother duo scorers in NCAA history.
