Rarely are residents of Broncos Nation encouraged to cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs. Aside from the obvious (when they play the Oakland Raiders), this is one of those times:
Chiefs tight end Leonard Pope saved a 6-year-old boy from drowning Saturday at a pool party in Georgia.
Anne Moore said she saw her son Bryson go underwater and began screaming for help. "Leonard was inside, and he came out of nowhere and dove into the water without any hesitation, cellphone in his pocket and all," said Moore, who added Pope's presence proved "he was placed here to save my son."
In other words, thank you, NFL lockout.
